Tu B'Shvat

Yesterday we celebrated "Tu B'Shvat"- marking the "New Years of the Trees".
Every year somewhere in the Kibbutz new trees are planted. This year we planted Eucalyptus and Carob- trees that attract a lot of bees.
We planted "our" tree and marked him with a sign and ribbons in order to find him again when we will go and visit him during the year.
We made pita (flatbread) on the fire, ate them with chocolate spread or "labane" (white cheese spread). It was a lovely warm day.

At home we worked in the garden. Dug out the last remaining potatoes, cut branches, picked lemons and grapefruits and the girls cracked nuts…

Neomi finally finished sewing her second small bag. (The first one you can see here)
